Patricia Briggs is one of my favorite authors so it should come as no surprise that Mercy Thompson series is at the top of my all-time favorite list. I lost count on how many times I’ve read these books. Adam, Mercy, the entire pack will pull you in to their world from the very first book.
If you enjoy paranormal romance, you have to read them. I can not recommend these books enough.
If you’re into Historical Romance and still haven’t read Judith McNaught yet…what are you doing with your life? Once and Always is one of my favorite Judith McNaught books. More than that Lord Jason Fielding might be one of the very best tortured heroes.
Everytime I crave historical romance, Once and Always is my go-to read. Even if you’re not a Historical Romance fan you can’t skip this one.
I admire Nora Roberts so much and if you’d ask me how many of her books I’ve read, I couldn’t even give you a number. But…if you’d ask me which book I was re-reading whenever I need my Nora Roberts fix, The Witness would be it.
I’m not sure what it is about Abigail and the police chief Brooks that draws me to them, but their chemistry, Abigail’s quirks, Brook being pushy and patient…it all works for me. They might actually be the best couple.
It’s been so long since I first read this book, but it’s still one of my all-time-favorites. I love when there is an actual relationship development in books, and Susan Elizabeth Philips nails it in Kiss An Angel. If arranged marriages, elephants, tigers and hot Russian men is your thing, you’ll love Daisy Devreaux and Alex Markov’s story. And…I mean baby elephants…it doesn’t get any better than that.
Anne Bishop’s The Other’s series might be one of my top three Urban Fantasy series. I don’t want to say too much about this series because I don’t want to give anything away. Just know that, this is one of my absolute favorite series that I always go back to–few times every year if you need me to be specific. I can promise you that it’s nothing like you’ve ever read. The world building, everything is just perfect. However, I have to say, if you’re looking for a romance read, this might not be the best choice. Even though there are romance elements in it, you’ll have to be extremely patient. Extremely. Still…trust me, it’s that good and more.
Circe is one of those books I wasn’t sure I would enjoy or not. Actually the only reason I started it was because it was highly recommended by a friend. I’m not really into my books being filled with too flowery words to be honest so I was a little on the fence with this one. But with Circe, I can’t imagine any other writing style for this story; it was perfect. Madeline Miller definitely is a genius.
This was a book I wanted to devour slowly to savor every moment, but I’m afraid it kept me up all night because I just couldn’t stop reading. And that right there should tell you how much I loved Circe.
I think I should’ve warned you that there would be a lot of Nora Roberts books in my favorites list. The Search is another brilliant story that will knock you off your feet. Romantic Suspense has been one of my favorite stories lately and this is a perfect example. It’s engrossing and thrilling. And the thing I love most about this story is that the romance and the suspense is in perfect balance here. Just like it was in The Witness.
And if you’re a dog lover… This story has puppies and the smartest dogs which for me, makes it even better. There is nothing more I love than puppies and dogs in books. This is another Nora Roberts books that I would highly recommend.
If you’ve read and loved any of my books you would know that I love writing slow burn books. Same goes for reading slow burn. There is nothing more satisfying than reading about two characters slowly falling for each other. Elena Armas did an amazing job with this one. Other than the slow burn aspect, the book is so full. There is constantly something happening that puts a smile on your face. And despite it being a long one, when it ends you don’t even realize how many pages you’ve just devoured.
